Welcome to the Hartley Wintney Twinning Association (HWTA). Hartley Wintney is a village situated on the A30 in North East Hampshire, England with a population of approximately 5000. Click here for a map of Hartley Wintney. The Twinning Association has been in existence since 1977, when the village, along with the parishes of Winchfield, Mattingley, Rotherwick and Heckfield, entered into an agreement with St Savin, near Poitiers, France to encourage and facilitate closer relations in the interests of international harmony. In 1999 Hartley Wintney extended its European ‘twinning’ connections to Malle, near Antwerp, Belgium, who were already twinned with St Savin, and, in 2004 formally integrated the’Friends of Malle’ into the HWTA. |
