The youth section of the Hartley Wintney Twinning Association ("HWTY") was created to support local young people to build relationships with similar aged children in both St Savin and Malle, experiencing different cultures, lifestyles and languages.
It all started with a visit to Hartley Wintney from a small group of children from St Savin back in 2011
In 2012 a slightly larger group of children from Hartley Wintney joined the HWTA and the Hook Morris Men on a return visit to St Savin. You can see a few photos here and read the post trip Contact article here
In 2013 we visited Malle, where we first met the KLJ youth group. You can see a few photos here
In April 2014, a group of children from the KLJ youth group in Malle came to stay in the village with us. You can read all about the weekend here
On the first Bank Holiday of May, a party of 36 young people and leaders from Hartley Wintney, along with a youth representation from St Savin, travelled to Malle for our first tri-nation twinning youth gathering. You can read all about the trip here
In July we hosted young people from St. Savin, Malle and for the first time Heusenstamm in Germany (we are not technically twinned with Heusenstamm however as they are twinned with both St Savin and Malle we decided to extend the invite to them as well)
In July we visited Heusenstamm in Germany along with young people from St. Savin
In July we visited St Savin, along with young people from Malle and Heusenstamm - a true quad-nation camping adventure!

Sadly 2018 was the last twinning youth event until a new committee of organisers can be found
